Im not sure exactly why it's there but to set it up you will start with the servos. Get them tied to the swash and get it level. The swash follower will tighten up with the arms level and the blades links parallel to the shaft. Does that make sense?

yea it makes sense..called one of my local heli buddies and asked him the same question and he said it realy serves no purpose other that to stiffen the swash th keep the stress off the long links that go from swash to blade grips.and if it was not there it would wrap the tong links around the head till they popped!

The swash driver allows you to make changes so the heli will flip on it's axis. For instance next time your flying do a reverse flip. if the heli rolls of to one side move the swash driver slightly more of center and flip the heli again. Move until the heli flips on it's axis...
Thx C.B.

+1 CB. Also it keeps the swash from spinning so it aligns the rods to the head. You must make sure the rods are straight and swash driver is at 90 deg. I was always told that when settingup you need to goto mid stick and set the swash driver so the arms are level or 90degs to the main shaft so then you get the same amount of travel on top and bottom
