Is 6 channels enough for a multi rotor, quad or hex? I am thinking of trading my TREX 450 Sport for a quad or hex (for FPV) and trying to figure out what I can re-use. My DX6i is already paid for and I am hoping it is adequate.

Yes, but barely. 4 channels for flight controls, 1 channel for flight mode selection, ( depending on fc used ), and 1 for tilt control of a camera gimbal. Anything else and you are out of channels.

Thanks for the info, it sounds like 6 will be enough to get started.
