Default ESC and motor silent

I stepped outside to fly my T-Rex today and was greeted to no beeps from the motor. Servos and everything BEC powered works fine (gyro too), but the motor will not spring to life.

With power off, I gave the motor a few rotations, but despite repeated power ups attempts, nothing. Would it have been possible for the bad battery wire (that eventually fell) to have given the ESC conniptions? I'm dead in the water at the moment.

Any ideas are welcome?

I've gotten almost 20 flights in without mechanical incident or airframe accident, but electric demons have grounded me on 3 separate occassions now.

Hello,

I had this problem as well. Long story short, I bought a new ESC and pluged it all in and still the engine made no noise. Lucky I also bought a new engine as when i put the old esc on it still didnt work. Some how both the engine and esc were destroyed. I have no idea how (im a noob at heli's but gettin there).
.
New engine and ESC for me, I hope its not that expensive for you.

Regards,
375ml.

FYI: My incident occured after I had the battery plugged in and was tweaking some settings. I unplugged it and left it. The next morning I plugged it in for its first flight and nothing. It was dead.

Ugh. It sounds like I'm in for the same. With $1000USD sunk into the "hobby" this month, that order will have to wait until next week.

Has anyone had this problem and been able to fix it without use of a credit card? haha

i have had this happen to me several time. But its been due to forgetting to plug the motor back into the esc after its been on the bench. Get yourself a cc p35 and a medusa and never think about this kinda stuff again
