1. Select model 2. go to Function list 3. Go to STICK POS SW menu 4. Go to SPS0 and Select "THRO" 5. Scroll down to "AREA" and select "LOW" 6. Scroll down to "POS" and set to "L98" (this doesn't have to be exact you just want something near the bottom of the throttle stick travel) 7. Leave STICK POS SW menu and go to TIMER menu 8. Select TIMER1 (or whatever timer you want) 9. Set for DOWN 10. Set DOWN time for you desired flight time 11. Set START to SPS0 12. Set STOP to SPS0 That's it. It sounds like an involved process but it's actually very easy once you've done it. Now that I've set up a few models it takes just a few seconds to do. It sucks that the manual doesn't tell you how to do this. Note that this is just one way to set up the timer. There are countless ways you could trigger and stop the timer. Here's a quick and dirty cell phone video of the process:

For electrics, I have set my radio to automatically start count down when I flick throttle hold.
It is one of the best features of the radio. I don't have to think about it and can't forget to set it. Regards Acrow |

Select the ptich curve you want, move the collective to the position where you want an additional point. "Add" will appear on the menu beside the bottom left button. Just press it. Once you have added the point, set the value you want. You can't add points too close to each other, but the screen makes it fairly clear. You remove additional points in the same manner. Bear in mind the radio is great for flat throttle curves. You just keep the minimum three points which makes it really easy to adjust them if you need to. Regards Acrow |
