Ok, let's see how that works.

Some other guy somewhere else here (thank you) suggested 'subtly' hinting that a more expensive bird was being sought.... So I've had open web pages to logo xxtremes... stuff like that ... with the price tag clearly prominent.... so ... maybe the impact of the purchase of an X5 won't be so bad...

I won't go mad on the servos... just yet... I think hahaha... but the v-bar I reckon, I'll buy. More because of familiarity (2 v-barred 450's).

If you get the X5 FES super combo it comes with everything except for a battery and a reciever.
Microbeastx, servos, ESC, Scorpion motor and all.
No need to buy anything extra unless it's just cause you want it and unlike the TREX550 there are no needs to do any upgrading.
Also there is a guy that goes by the name torana74 I think that he is an Australian also and he is very knowledgable about all of the Gaui brand of Heli's, especially the X5

Says spykez is in Australia so I dont believe he is locked into the microbeast like we are here in the states for the super combo. Dont get me wrong I love my beastx but if you want a vbar and you can get it in the super combo it will save you alot of cash..

If it is not in stock on the website I always call him. If he can't get a hold of it, typically its out EVERYWHERE.. So it sucks eitherway. I only know him through MULTIPLE orders, nothing more.

Have both and the x5 is far easier to build.

The trex is great bc of ease of parts hence I will take more risks on it as I can run to my LHS and get parts same day.

The X5 IMO looks nicer and is more straight forward buildwise. Also uses lower MAH lipos which can be cheaper.

I use BeastX in all my helis and they all fly great but wouldn't mind trying v bar on my next heli.

If my LHS had gaui parts on hand I would have a Gaui fleet!

Just ordered from Dave @ anythingheli and he's great! Pm'd him for some suggestions and his advice was top notch! I believe it that if he doesn't have it then no one does. Try searching the net.

Either way hope u enjoy your new heli!

recently i took my 450 up for a few flights, than i flew a buddys 550 it was my first flight on a bigger helicopter that day and i enjoyed flying it, i thought it was a really nice flying helicopter over all,

next i went up with my X5 and the difference was night and day. the 550 was a nice flying helicopter but that X5 just blew that 550 away big time.

you really cant go wrong with the X5 some day if i can ever afford it i plan to get a X7 since i like the X5 so much
