I will still pick up an MCPX first....the MCPX is going to be able to survive crashes much better so I would want to practice on the MCPX first before trying anything on the 130x.

Remember bigger means more expensive to repair and will break easier due to the whole weight versus gravity thing and this thing appears to have an insane headspeed with a brushless motor stock!

Yeah but if I buy a mCPX it will be upgraded completely and I think it will be a waste of money when I can have a 130 which will do 3D. I have Phoenix, so I can practice all day on the mCPX and other bigger CP helis and not worry about breaking anything. Considering I was doing 3D in Phoenix on all helis in just a few hours I don't think it will be a huge learning curve for me.

Let me know how that works out in reality! I know alot of pilots who seems like pros on a sim but in reality inverted causes crash crash crash. A sim is not real life and although I am sure it makes the learning curve easier as you can understand some basic concepts and orientations etc it still dont fly like the real thing.

Anyone know what's up with the little torpedos on the rotor blades? I've never noticed anything like that on a heli before.

I believe they are there to enhance FFF. You will find the same on the MCPx

So being new and maybe out of line, but why would you spend $279 for the 130 when you can get the 450 3D for $299? Unless you have a fleet and want the latest greatest.

Here is my reasoning...a 450 is too big for me to fly in the little park i have next door which is essentially a decent sized back yard. A 450 is too big to practice hovering orientations etc indoors....my 120 is the perfect size for my indoor and outdoor flying areas where the msrx gets a little too small far away (mcpx is the same size as msrx)
So really the 120 /130 sized bird is the biggest i really need or can fly without having to drive to a field....f that. I would rather just step outside...call me lazy.

that's the reason I quickly ditched planes and decided to go with helis....drive to the park just to find some idiots have got some sort of stupid game going on on my flying field, or the wind suddenly decides to come up or any other number of tragedies.

I agree, I've always felt that the 120SR was the perfect size for my yard, so this should be just perfect as well. A 450 would be nice, but I don't really want to cut my head off.
