I think that is why he will bind with his transmitter so we can compare settings. I'm still new tot the Devo 8s transmitter but there might be something in the transmitter that I'm not catching. If he can get things to fly with his transmitter I can then see his settings and match them in mine. When I told him about using 3 servos 120 he couldn't believe that at first because most helis aren't set up like that. This 3gx system is completely different than others. I think when the Spektrum dx8 came out at first some people had questions about set up so I guess that will be try with the Devo8s. Lol, maybe I'll write a book on it like the one guy did! Probably helped a lot of people. In the process of working on another book now, no time to do that though. HOpefully he gets it going.

I also feel more welcome in the Walkera Korner. In fact this forum and the folks in it swayed my purchase of the Mini CP over a Blade product.
To give an example of my visit to the Align forum.

I bought a Walkera Mini CP about a month ago and it came with a spare RX . So I put it all together to test it before I put it in the scale fuse.

The question is I know it is just an XL, but do I need any head/tail upgrades for a scale flyer that is going to hover pretty with blinking lights? Thanks Mark

It's more likely the XL is an older model and not many are currently flying them.

Also consider the thread title, that is an important part of being descriptive enough to let people know the topic.

HF is not a good ol boys club of experienced flyers who avoid new pilots.

There are many who spend much of their free time helping out.

It is the members who provide the content which is the resource for use by other members.

I could list a one or two instances I'm not happy about but that doesn't taint my outlook about how useful experienced pilots are for pilots starting out.

We get comfortable within a forum or two, don't let that keep you from branching out as your interest in other helis develops over time. I doubt this will be your last new helis

Mike

I know this isn't politically correct but it seems to apply.

Winning a flame war on the Internet is like winning at the Special Olympics. You may win but you're still 'special'.

Some forums I've been on had specific forums for flaming where anything goes but when you hear the same put-down for them umpteenth time, it gets old rather quick.

Besides, I get more enjoyment out of flaming myself! I'm such an easy target that I can't miss.

That was pretty funny!

With all of the flaming talk please don't start singing its raining men...not that there's anything wrong with that.
