Thanks to KBDD. Flying 600mm SWE mains with 96mm KBDD extreme tails in 25+ mph winds I had a boom strike at the start of my flight and kept on going. You can hear the blades hit the boom at the beginning of the flight. Tail authority sucked. It kept over shooting my stops and the heli was totally disconnected due to vibes and bad tail blade. I also finished off the 600mx. flight.
At the end of the flight I hit the head and pick up some weeds that fly off when I flip back over. By far not a great flight but it was all I could do with the given circumstances. ![]() So now my next step is either scorpion 4035-560 or KDE600XF-530 with all new hv servos. Oh and new dampers cause those are wore out. ![]()

I'm going with the hitech hs7954sh and bls256hv. I've been flying the hitech servos in my other heli for a while an I like them

Both of those motors are very good. The Scorpion will require fairly extensive shimming of the front servos so the can will clear. The KDE is a drop in replacement.
Are you using the DFC head? Strange that you would get a tail blade strike with 96mm blades. |

2350 gov. I wouldnt worry too much. Mine was just a series of unfortunate events. I think the wind and my dampers were a big culprit. Ive been beating on it harder than that and never had a problem.
