Capable of speeds in excess of 400 mph, it left a ghostly howl in its wake that earned it the name "Whistiling Death" among enemy troops. For those under its protection, however, there was no sweeter sound on earth.
The ParkZone® F4U-1A Corsair is a remarkably scale tribute to this warbird icon that's a blast to fly. Most of its details, including the paint scheme, are already applied for you. A set of bolt-on drop tanks and two sets of decals are included. I'm really looking forward to this plane for several reasons. First, is the rotating retracts. That only means there is a number of planes that WILL come out! (P-40, Skyraider, Hellcat). Second, the flaps are the 3 sectioned pieces rather than one piece as on other Corsair models. There is optional grass gear that can be purchased. The gear has a significant forward rake and also appears to have larger wheels. Couple that with flaps and grass landings will be a breeze with no nose overs!
