setting up the rce 6600 gov.

look i know it probably posted some where else but i am new to the nitros and i don't under stand how to setup/use the governor on my 700 nitro. let alone mess with the setting on my 600 nitro. i essentially fly both with the governor in the off position. any help or settings for the dx8 would be awesome so i can understand the concept.

manuals are on line but the set up is actually very easy.

with the throttle travel adjusts at 100% in both directions.

put stick in idle position.

press button on governor

push stick to top and wait for gov light to change

set gov high end trav adj to 80% and make tweaks from there

done.

me thinks that you will like flying with the gov on as the engine runs more consistently.

after setup to ensure that gov is working, pass magnet under gov sensor and gov green light should turn off. should only work on one side of the bell/fan.

The radio setting are different for the 700n The ones that come with the gov are for a 600n ( different gear ratio). you can get the correct setting from the 700LE instructions

i have two 700ns and have had three 600s. 80% is a good starting point for both. gear ratio is not comparable because 600 has a smaller disc and smaller disc equals higher hs.
