Default Whirlybird 505?

Does anyone know where I might find one, or have one they are willing to part with for a good price? My club is having a vintage fun fly benefit this fall and was thinking this would be a nice model to restore and show up with. My intent would be to restore and preserve, not resell.

Thanks!

This member bought one here on HF 5 years ago, you might PM him and see if he still has or is willing to sell it.

Good luck,

Thanks flystagg! I inquired but I don't think that one is for sale. I did call a heli friend I haven't talked to in a while that has flown for a really long time and have opened up my options to more than just a Whirlybird. He's going to see what he can find for me. Very nice of him to "shake the bushes", and will see what falls out.

Thanks for your suggestions guys! Keepem' commin. If anybody knows of an available Schlutter Heli Baby, please let me know.

Did you happen to see http://www.helifreak.com/showthread.php?t=359192 ?

Heh, I built one of these back in the day...never actually flew it and ended up trading it for a new engine for my Hirobo at the time...

Did you ever find a vintage Heli for the fun-fly?

This would be an awesome starting point! It was never flown, the canopy isn't even pierced for the control arms. Just add servos & receiver.

I'll be heartbroken to see her go, but I would really love to know that she flew!!
