I did not notice the breaks until after I landed for the final time on both occasions. The rear post flexed and bent without a problem, just the front post and support area seems brittle. The skids themselves were very flexible.

Went to the LHS and picked up 2 sets of the standard Blade gear as I'm anxious and it was cheap. When I set the gear in, I barely pushed it in until I felt resistance. I then did some more hovering and ended up slamming it against the wall. Knocked the main rotor gear clean off, had to find the bearing, battery got thrown off completely, canopy knocked loose, both linkages knocked off the pitch, and a flat spot on one of the rotor tips..
Landing skid? Completely undamaged. I almost felt like I had to break it on principal. |

Haha, good job man! I ran mine into the hard dirt and then parked it into a tree this morning (hadnt had my coffee yet) and just wiped the dust off and then launched her back out again

Nevermind; I re-read everything you wrote more carefully, and understand now that you are saying the factory skids survived the hellacious crash. Beginning to wonder if the $20 I spent on KBDD stuff that's coming in the mail was even worth it? ![]() E. Last edited by Elmosaurus; 05-04-2012 at 12:05 PM.. Reason: Reading comprehension 101. I contacted KBDD and they sent me three skids to replace the two I purchased. I now have white, green, and orange.
They also included matching main rotor blades and tail rotors!! Customer for life |
