rave 450 3s 350mm

can i run 350mm on the 3s setup? nextd-6 3s motor, nice 3s spyder packs, either align esc or castle ice50 (can go to the 75 if necessary as i havnt gotten an esc yet but have the align laying around)

I am running the 3s setup with 350mm blades, align esc, 450mx motor, turning 2800 on the head and it flies super nice. It's not the fastest setup in the world, but i like it. Butter smooth.

I'm running 350mm nextd-6 3s tp 65c 2250 12t pinion koby 40....just awesome! Hang time is crasy for a 450!!

rave with 350s is the way to go! but works better on 4s 3s still rocks

Have you tried a lighter 4S lipo pack?

well i bought a used setup from a guy with the -6 motor, 3 pairs of 350mm blades, and i already have some 3s2200 packs. just wanted to make sure i wont burn anything up

Get a pitch gauge and a tachometer.

Use "Dark Horse Calculator" to work out the headspeed and amp draws on the advanced calculator system.

You should be fine if the lipos are 45C continuous...

We are running a 3s system with the 350 blades. I have the govorner set up at 3200 with the stock nextd 6 motor. We are running a 65c 2250 3s pack and works great. I am not going to a 4s and putting the extra weight on it as it is just a riot to fly this way. We also are running a flybarless head with a vbar and that really opened things up. If you are still running the flybar I would switch that first it made a whole new machine that was not only smoother but more powerfull and more fun to fly.

i havnt flown it yet, but ive got a flybarless setup with a micro beast, spyder 3s2200 packs, and the radix 350mm blades. just got my esc (castle ice 50) and new cyclic servos should be here tomorrow (mks ds92a+). im itching to fly this bad boy

I have no experience with the beastx but if that thing works well you will love the setup. We are using the governor on the cc we have and that makes a world of difference on how it flies

I purchased a CY Flybarless 3S Rave 450 Kit the other day (will be #3; other two are FB) and want to keep all my Rave's 3S for now.

Question: Swinging the 350's powering off of 3S 2200mAh 30C Lipo's, do I want the NextD Scorpion 8?

I would like to make them all different and I'm still researching the Pro's/Con's of other pilots Rave Setup's. Oh...and 14t or 15t Pinion? I'm also Sports Flying right now and still working on my flying skills.

NextD Scorpion -6 with a 12t or 13t. It really depends on what HS you wanna run.

Hmmm, that's definitely a good question but I'm pretty comfortable with high headspeeds; at least with my experience with ultra micro Walkera's running Turbo Ace out-runner motors...the higher the headspeed, the more stability and pop/response.

With the Rave 3D Scorpion 6, 350mm, I'm gonna guess between 2900 and 3000; course, without taxing the motor, Lipo, and electronic's. I'll personally have to test it out to see what works for me but I definitely want to keep it in the safe zone as far as the tail gears go.

I'm running the -6 with a koby esc 12t 2900-3000 HS. Stay under 3200 and you'll be golden!

Similar post as the other thread, but I use a -6, ice50, 13t, 3s 55c packs, and run 3200. I found that at 2900 or below, I lost quite a bit of tail authority in hard 3D. As long as you run below 11 degrees of pitch or so, you won't run out of gov headroom.
