Sport mode/Transmiter mode

The 450 X comes set up in TX mode on the 7200BX If I change this to sport mode, do I have to go thru a complete re-setup of the 7200BX?

Or can I just change to sport mode and leave everything else alone?

No, you can switch to Sport mode in the Settings menu without going through Setup again. The Settings menu is designed for use at the flight field. Setup is meant to be done at home any time a mechanical change has occurred.

It's just a stored set of DR/Expo/Travel Adjust/Gain settings though. Normal mode is even gentler than Sport mode, if you're looking to make it ultra-stable for first flights.

No, you can switch between whichever flight mode suits your style. I was Tx at first, then Normal (found it too sluggish) then Sport which reminded me of my MCPX on steriods

But at the moment after another strange incident the other night, the heli's on it's way back to Horizon Hobby

So After I switch, I should set my TX back to zero on everything DR/Expo trims etc

That is correct..If you are going to run using the BeastX presets then you want to zero out the Expo and set your D/R to 100%.

Also you should *never* use trims on a flybarless heli for longer than it takes to 'rough in' the trim (get a general idea of how many trim steps are needed). Then re-set the TX trims to zero, and set the trim in the BeastX trim settings menu. A little bit of drift is normal.

Good Info...

Another trick that I use on the DX8 is once all your trims are centered you can shut the controller down, power up holding the roller button, enter the trim step menu and set all the values to 0. By doing this you can never change the trim on the controller by an accidental hit from your fingers. The buttons are effectively dead under normal operations...

Just a little tip....
