Ice 50 ESC stuck in spool up?

First off let me say that I am still very new to 6ch helis but am learning. Well this is my problem I just replaced a cheap 40A ESC with a Ice 50 ESC for my T-rex 450 and my only concern is that the throttle definitely feels different. I understand that it has a spool up feature which is nice but once I get the heli in the air if I over correct throttle down the heli feels like its in spool up again and takes quite awhile to get the head up speed again and pull up. Not sure if its the ESC setting that I need a USB cable for or if I am just being a noob. Hope you understand what I am trying to say.
