hkIII 4035-566 and castle

I have a hkIII 4035 566kv and a castle hv160
I have it set 8pwn timing but the motor is quite hot even after short flights
I have the govenor for 2100 also
also there seems to be a funny sound comming from the motor when im flying.
any ideas?

The funny sound was the main gear touching the motor heat shield.
