Swash Leveling Tool (BLH1690A) ??

I got the swash leveling tool from Blade- the BLH1690A, supposed to work with both the 450 and the 400. On the 400, it won't slide over the collar that is on the main shaft. So, am I supposed to remove that collar before using this tool? Seems they have machined it wrong? Or user error?

i wouldnt use that one .. i dont like how it woks at all ... i read the manual seen the pix ..

try this one yeah you have to take head off but much better then that one i think .. but again i dont use none .. i eye ball them .. seems to work for me

I bought the same one and it doesnt fit to B400. If u figure out how to use, share please. I dont think removing the collar is a good idea to level the swash by the way.

I did figure some of it out- I noticed the blade 450 main shaft has a built in ring around it- do you'd not use a collar arrangement like with the blade 400. This would allow use of the leveling tool, as the ring is much more narrow than the collar (the collar prevents use of leveling tool)

The other issue is: the b400 manual wants the mid-stick swash level at 16.25mm above the top bearing- and I measured the leveling tool at 15mm! Maybe the 450 is supposed to be 15mm? I couldn't find that info in the 450 manual.

Rick Lohr has designed swash levelling tools that fit under the swash and don't require you to remove the head each time you want to make adjustments.
