Hi, I have just built my Pro and fitted both the KDE AT600PTU and AT600 PTU-v2.
I found the mod on your site for chamfering the new type tail blade grips to allow bearing clearance which is has fixed the binding problem. The second problem is I've gone to install the tail blades and they don't fit due to the radial bearing retaining bolt hitting the blade root before the tail blade hole can be lined up preventing installation of the blade. I certainly don't want to remove material from the blade to make it fit, and the button headed retaining bolt for the bearing is quite low profile already. The only thing I could do is install thinner thickness radial bearings, or remove them from the upgrade. Could KDE advise if I have the wrong radial bearings included in the PTU-V2 kit for the new type tail blade grips? I have many of your upgrades on my older 600s which work fine, I like your products but how long do we need to wait until you produce your own helicopters?? ![]() |

Sorry about the confusion, I need to update the Installation Diagrams for the AT500-PTU-V2 and AT550/600/70-PTU-V2 to address the newer silver-grips (V2) from ALIGN. The AT550/600/700-PTU-V2 includes an extra set of M3 washers, radial ball bearing, and the M3 button head socket head cap screws to provide a triple-bearing supported design for the plastic and black-anodized metal tail grips from ALIGN. With the silver-anodized metal tail grips from ALIGN (termed "V2"), the design was changed to already provide a triple-bearing supported tail, so these extra components are not required. No need to install these extra parts into the "V2" grips, just the Tail Control Links are needed for the upgrade and you can use the extra components for an alternate helicopter or keep as spares.
KDE Direct helicopter? Someday, when the time is right... ![]()

All you manufacturers take a long look at yourselves; this is customer support as it should be. A problem has been identified from one of YOUR customers and it gets fed back. You look into the problem and REPLY to YOUR customers with a solution. No unanswered emails for weeks on end, no fobbing off, just a straight here you go that’s the problem solved.
Skookum is the only company with the same level of support in my experience. Well done KDE. Thank you, now fixed and ready to go. ![]() |

Miniature aircraft USA is excellent all around. Top-notch customer service, Just like KDE, typically answered by the main man(brian james). I've never dealt with skookum I've always used the beastx, skooku was too much money |

Funny, I always wanted an MA heli but was too expensive over here over ten years ago. I did visit Ted Skoonards outlet when it was based in Florida when on a holiday trip though, nice to see the helicopters in real life and not just in magazine. They were proper engineering when the Concept 30, Hirobo 888 and Kalt Cyclone were the Align of their day.
The SK720, although expensive has saved the cost of the heli twice already with it's bail out function so it has paid for itself already! We could start a thread on who do offer outstanding customer service. Don't want to get into bashing companies, but to show the good ones with praise when it's due. |

Patrick, That will be a great "Someday" !!!!!!!! I'll add to the level of customer support, no one has come close in this industry to KDE. Every other RC Helicopter has fallen short where Patrick and KDE's business practices stand. I like Skookum, and own a sk720, but recent they have fell in my opinion. To have a faulty firmware out and take months to acknowledge, and taking near the same to correct it, is bad form. We shouldn't have to ask for the down level firmware via email. It should be on the website available to download. Not to mention the fabled GPS. They let Align beat them to the market on that one. |

Customer support AND great service! This is why I talked my buddy into getting his shop setup as a KDE dealer! Less than a week in and we had already sold two 700XF motors.
