Default Align 3GX spektrum dx6i does not work

Hi guys! I just purchased an Align 450 3gx V2 kit, built it and i am having major issues with it and my Spektrum DX6i. I have read forums, tips and anything else on Helifreak and the interweb, with no luck. I hate to beat a dead horse but does ANYONE have an Align 450 3gx V2 hooked up to a Spektrum DX6i that actually flys or am I out the $600.00 for the bird? If so I would love to see pics of the wiring, radio settings and set-up procedures. PLEASE HELP! i love to fly but this sucks.

I've asked a similar question. From the answers I gather it'll work if you use
a separate spektrum receiver (like a ar6100, 6110, ..etc), but won't work if
you use a satellite only with the DX6i because the tail gyro gain is controlled
by channel 7 for the satellite configuration and your DX6i doesn't control channel 7.

Tons of people fly it with a dx6i. You have to use a seperate rx though, or you won't be able to control gain via your tx. It CAN be used with a sat only if you really want to, but you'll have to change tail gain through the 3gx software on a pc.
The wiring is illustrated in the manual btw.

I use the DX6i with the ar6115 receiver no problem.

Thanks for your input guys. I am running the 450 3gx v2 with a Spektrum dx6i set up as... AR6210 Aux1-yellow, Gear-green, Rudd-blue, Elev-orange, Aile-red, Thro-purple with the red and black powering AR6210 from 3gx sbus/bind stabbed into the Thro on the AR6210. 3GX is set up with each servo plugged into corresponding inputs. No sat antena. The bird spools up, lifts off the ground and starts spinning like a top. No input on rudder stick will stop it. My gain is set at 70 in HH mode. I tried it in both modes with the same results. I assume that it must be my gyro set-up. I replaced broken tail grip bearings that come stock on Align birds before I ever plugged a Lipo into it. I hope that this is one of those "oops I missed that step" fixes. any help is appreciated.

The wiring illustration in the manual is incorrect BTW! It does not allow power or binding of the AR6210 Spektrum reciever.

Sounds like your gyro is the issue. Try reversing it on the 3gx unit.

Gyro correction direction is probably reversed. Check to see if it corrects in the right direction. If not, just reverse it in the tailgyro setup.
You should bind your rx before connecting it to the 3gx.

Start over with the setup on your gyro.

What is the proper wiring? I have an AR6110 and have tried everything and it won't bind.

Just bind your receiver before you connect it to the 3gx. You only have to put a bind plug in the 3gx if you use sats only.

I don't know if you saw the video but you can try doing the tail mod to help stop it from spinning. watch the vid its really good help.
