Skookum 720 self level set up on trex 700 Nitro

Hi Anyone, can I get this self level to work on my nitro 700. We have the foam, then the metal plate, then more foam, and 720 mounted on top of that. But vibes still high. I have heard of guys getting this to work on 700 nitros before. Wondering how to do it.

Firstly, how is the tune, running too rich will increase vibration?

the tune is good, we are getting new foam and gel pad to try out. as per this forum, but my question is how low do vibes need to be to make self level stay active?

=] borderlines at 7G's with a warning, shuts off at 10G's with an excessive vibe warning, much will depend on where / how you mount the unit, the general overall state of the heli, we have the tools to get you there....

Do a bench run (removed main and tail blades) and log it. Post the log and I am sure gmcallister will help point you in the direction of the vibs.

Also is that two thick foam pads or one thick, the plate, then thin foam pad?

The vibes will be higher than on an electric. I use slightly thicker foam that supplied with the SK. It's the CSM foam like the link below, with the metal plate and thin foam as per usual.

As was mentioned in a previous post, good tune it critical.

As I understand it, whether or not SL works depends on the vibration index number in the Playback log. I believe SL stops working when the vibration index exceeds 7 for an extended period of time.

Yup, or if it exceeds 9 (i think) at all. You get the red-greed flash if the level exceeds 7 afaik.
