Has anyone accurately tached their headspeed with the 6s 1300KV 350mm blade setup? What headspeed did you get and with what pinion? I know I can work this out with a calculator but I'd like to get some real world results if possible. An Eagletree graph would be superb if you have one.

Thanks. I was thinking to go with a 16T pinion to get a similar headspeed I have on my Rave

IMO you don't need the 16T. I can run 3200 on a 15T, and that is MORE than enough headspeed on 350s! It's nutty!

I flew my friends MiniP on 6s 15T 350mm and I thought it was the best flying 450 I had ever flown but I did feel I could use a little more headspeed. My flying has come along quite a lot in the last year and I'm starting to push my helis a lot harder. I guess I need to try both pinions when I get MiniP. Oh and yes I have ordered A MiniP from Pete at ElektroRC.

I measured 3750 at full throttle with 16 tooth but this is with no blades but my motor runs really hot with a 16 tooth so I was gonna go to a 15 to get a better throttle%. Going over 3200 with 350 blades is to much right?

For my skill level, anything over 2800 is "too much"

Agreed. I`m running 3250 in Idle 2 and it`s pretty rank. I`ve been finding myself flying it more and more at 3000, and there`s still plenty of power and pop at that speed.

With my Rave I'm running about 3300-3400rpm depending on batteries, old or new. For me that is the sweet spot but each person's flying style is different.

About 950g with a 6s 1300mAh pack. That may sound like a lot for a 450 but it feels light in the air and it autos very well. I know the MiniP will probably be quite a bit lighter.

That's only 60g heavier than my Mini with 1300's. I love the crisp feel at the higher HS, but I'm trying to use this little guy for training and learning new stuff. Little longer flight times are what I'm after with this heli.

m running the YGE 60A on my 6s with 15T and I get 2980 @ 90% Governer Store mode. 3000rpm is wicked fast with the 350mm blades.

How come you're getting only 2980 when other people are getting 3200 with the same pinion?

I could get 3200 if I went with 100% throttle, but I'm leaving some headroom for the governer.

But if I'm not mistaken, other people are getting 3200 with governor too and that usually means 80%. Even Mr Mel's calculator is predicting much higher.

I have just tached my 6S stretch Mini. Headspeed is 3090 rpm GOV at 80% throttle. My 1300 mAh Volz batteries draw roughly 1000 mAh after 5 mins of relatively mild 3D. I use GOV at 90% for more aggressive flight but I haven't measured the HS.

Wek if people are getting 3100rpm at 80% with the 15T pinion then I think 16T is probably right for me because I would prefer to have my throttle curve at 75%. The headspeed remains more constant throughout the flight, With 80% it tends to drop off after 2 minutes.

Not with good batteries and a YGE it doesn't. I suggest you try the 15T first, I really think it is over-geared with the 16T on 6S.

Alright I'll try the 15T first. Can't do any harm
