Default Thunder Power warranty question

I am thinking about getting some used Thunder Power batteries. Does the warranty transfer? Would I have to have the receipt? I would want the full warranty, not just 50%crash replacement. To be honest that is the only reason I would pay the premium for TP. The batteries I am looking at are 2/3 the price of new and have 1 flight one them.

Why not just send an email to them and get an official response?

The warranty does not transfer... but they will still give you 50% off new ones of the same class if you send them in.

They will actually give the 50% off crash warranty to users who have taco'd or burnt out many other brand name lipos too like Voltz and Hyperion. Lower name lipos like HK or many others are not accepted but its a great program to get people out there who regularly couldnt afford the packs new replacements at a low cost. And the new ones come with the full warranty too from what I understand.

^This is true... and I will be doing just that with my recently departed Voltz and GensAce packs.

Your right Vico...I have a few myself and they are good but most of the inexpensive packs are excluded from the crash warranty. Glad you could clarify that.

Lipos are the last thing I'd ever buy used.

Yeah, I am definitely really weary of it also. I think I am going to pass on them. I plan on watching hobbypartz like a hawk until the nest batch of Gens Ace come in and then stock up.
