Hey guys/gals, I have a BL mcpx with the wow hobbies pnp with xp-7a, steve and hp05 motor. I just bought a c05 motor to replace the hp05 when flying indoors as I feel the hp05 will do some serious damage to something in my living room (and then mostly likely my relationship
I thought I could just switch out the motors, but when plugged in one way, the main blades spin backwards, when I flipped the connector 180, the motor doesn't spin?? Any help would be appreciated ![]() (fyi- also just bought a flashed xp-7a from Dylan in case I want to permanently install the c05 on my stock mcpx) |

Flip 180 the motor should spin the other way. Does it spin without the main gear?
BTW direct solder is much better.

The wires are rather delicate on the C05 motor. Make sure a wire did not come loose at the plug when you flipped it around.

ok,
the good news - for some reason when i flipped it this morning, it spun the right way! the bad news - while connecting to the esc, the black cable from the esc to the connector came loose... i guess that could be blessing in disguise. now that i have to do some taking apart and soldering, i might as well get rid of the 'pnp' aspect and just solder the whole thing up right i know there are million posts/threads on this, but can someone point me to a great place to learn the proper wiring/soldering? Looks like I will have 2 bl mcpxs (c05 + hp05, indoor/outdoor) - i have one mcpx v1 with the wow hobbies pnp xp-7a, the steve - which i will now attempt to 'de-pnp' - i have another mcpx v1 with a flashed xp-7a from Dylan Thanks!! |

You can just plugin the battery to do that. It is better unplug the
battery so you don't stress the servo any way. The servo when powered, it will work hard try to hold the posistion. If you push on the servo, that might stress it. |

I get the servos mechanically zeroed, than finish off with sub trim too get it perfect. That's the way I do things.
