The blades are the main crash cost difference between 450 and 500. They are about twice the cost, $20 compared to $40 for Align carbons. But that is still reasonable and there are many cheaper options out there if you look. For example, on my 450, I swing Tarot CF blades that run $12.

Once I put my bid in I couldn't retract it. I will put an Align Motor and speed controller in it along with an align head. I will fly it like that for about four weeks then buy a Align T-rex 450 Sport V2 w/out electronics and transfer the electronics over from the clone (with Align electronics) This is the best way I can think to salvage a bad situation.

Just keep it and use it as a beater or experimental craft. Wait 6-8 weeks and build your Align with new stuff (digital servos and FBL).

But for sure, keep them in the air!

Think I'm going to buy a protos 500. Seems to be a good bird and low cost
