You have one of your main blades on backwards. In the pics and in the video.

I’m so loving the looks of the Gazaur canopy. I got to give Harold mad props for showing us how good this canopy looks on the DD 450 machine.

At the moment I'm also working on a DD.
My set-up: Fuselage: EC 135 Motor Himax 250kV Rotorhead: Rush - 4blade Tail: Fenestron made in Germany What I need is to know your headspeeds you did fly so far. I have to know the min headspeed in order to calculate the right ratio for my fenestron which works perfectly starting 12.500. Thank you in advance andi |

Not sure this is the best way for me to check headspeed, but I fly along and I want to get as close to actual head speed as I can. I set my pitch to zero across the board and spun the helicopter up on the ground. Then measure head speed with both micro tachometer and phone app and average the two readings which are real close together anyways. I know there is no blade loading so the numbers are on the high side , but think they’re close enough to give you an idea what the Funcopter direct drive motor is capable of. On 3s HS=2460 with a tail ratio of 4.54/1 = 11,168.84 tail rpm On 4s HS=3060 with a tail ratio of 4.54/1 = 13,892.40 tail rpm Think your best bet is to go straight to 4s, which should give you enough room to play with head speed and tail ratio.

Thank you!
My idea is to have lowest possible headspeed. Target from my side will be 1650 on the main rotor. I know this is challanging. Therefore it is great support to know your experience with low headspeed. The tailspeed topic I can only handle when I have the realistic min/max headspeed parameters. Thx andi |
