marcosp, you can become an "affiliate" AMA member as long as you belong to your country's aero club: http://www.modelaircraft.org/files/903.pdf

"If you are a Foreign National, you must be a current member of your National Aero Club. In order to not hold up processing your membership, you must provide a copy of your membership card for that National Aero Club."

I found out that, thanks for the info. I am waiting on my Club's paper and will be proceeding with affiliation. I should do it in advance right, no way of registering at IRCHA?

Correct. To register for IRCHA, you need to have an AMA number.

Unless something has changed since 2010, (Last time I attended) you CAN register on-site
