Identify this Heli

I'm active navy and got hooked on RC helicopters from a cheap little $30 mini and moved up to a $70 swanns flight and into a blade SR which I've crashed a lot but still maintain and have fun with.

So While I was still learning the very basics of my Blade SR, someone saw me and came up and started talking to be about flying RC helis, He had actually been flying for a few years but stopped because of time restraints. He said he would bring in some spare parts for me I could maybe use or just put together as a fun project. So Fast forward a few weeks later, or a couple of days ago,. He comes in and to my surprise he's a first class in the platoon next door. He said he had something for me so I went with him and BAM, A full helicopter with second identical one in pieces and spare parts. He said I could have it and that I would probably need to switch the mixer around to get it to fly right.

Sure enough he was right, after spending about a hour or so tweaking it I'm able to get it a couple of inches off the ground but not fly it very well, shes really twitchy, and sluggish from side to side.

But to the point, all I've got to go off of is that its a Hughes 300, with a Dynam controller. I've only been able to track down some info on it but not a whole lot. Was wondering if anyone on here knew more about it and maybe the equipment on it so I could tune it better.
