Like many others that have posted before me, I am a true fan of Horizon Hobby Customer Service.
My new mcpx v2 developed a binding problem after just a few flights. Since I am new with the mcpx v2, what ever I tried did not work. So, I decided to call HH and see if they could help me. After following their instructions for getting it to bind we came to the conclusion that it is the main board. That is not what I wanted to hear ($$$). But when I heard him say they would send me a new board out the next day I almost fell off the chair. What a great Customer Service department from HH. I just wanted to share my good experience with HH as a number of members have here. I understand sometimes it is good and sometimes it is not too good. But this time it was very good. |

Yes indeed sometimes great and sometimes what the ....................
I purchased a pair of their new Blade mCPX Stunt Yellow main and tail blades. One of the main blades developed two cracks in the rear edge in less than 10 flights and they had not been crashed on any hard surfaces , had only hit tall grass acouple of times and that was with THG on. Collective3 was set for zero pitch with TH so there were no boom strikes. To me there was just a issue with this batch of Yellows perhaaps. They were welling to replace them as a good jesture if I supplied all the necessary paper work / proof of purchase , etc. Give me a break. they cost less than $10 , go on a $180 heli which I have purchased two of along with numerious other spare replacemnet parts. Lots of companys will. But HH has been taken advantage of in this regard. I remember postings of people ruining their 3-1 and getting HH to send them a new one. Then fix the old one and brag about having 2!

I bet they have hundreds of request for replacement parts by folks who just want something for free or to resale.
I guess they do not maintain a customer dat a base or they ciould ghave seen that I have purchased numerious aircraft and replacement parts directly from them. Sorry but HH / E Flite / Blade's CS is getting worse not better IMO. Why I did not even get my Happy Birthday $10 disciount cupon from them this year. |

Not trying to be hard on the OP as I know he just sharing a positive experience. But this post probably gives some people ideas on how to scam parts. I have been treated very well with every problem I had with an aftermarket part. Some have given me extra stuff when I have had problems. But I do not spread it around, maybe the another person has the same problems and gets no extras. Or I give others with less morals ideas on what companies are easy to exploit.

Too bad that all I was trying to say is that I had a good experience. I am just an old man that wants to say thank you and not afraid to let fellow friends know. I never asked for a replacement of anything, I just told the truth. My dad taught me to be honest.

Sorry! I did not intend to make you feel poorly about it. And I am glad they took care of it so well. I would like to think most people on here are honest anyways and do not scam parts. I just find it very frustrating when I hear people talk about getting something for free when it is a problem they caused, or there was no problem at all. I really wish HH would have been as good to me when my 5 day old mSRx bit the dust though!
