Default In idle 1 she dips forward.

W
hat's up gang? I have a trex 550e 3gx v2 with a dx7. While i'm hovering she's smooth and stable but when I switch to idle 1 she dips forward as though i gave forward elevator. I have to pull back elevator to hold her level. Now if I switch to idle 2 she goes back smooth and stable. It only does this in the idle 1 position.

Are the trims identical in each flight mode?

Exactly, all flight modes have independent trim settings.

Unplug your motor.
With the heli on the bench, switch flight modes, if the swash moves at all, you know it is a setup issue in your transmitter.
The swash should not move at all when switching between modes for most peoples setups.

+1

If the swash does not move with the above test, is the headspeed changing when you go to I1? Is the CG right on the machine? You might need slightly different elevator trim with higher HS.

If you fly you are going to crash.

The heli is FBL there should be no trim at all, the dip could be caused by vibration as a result of a higher headspeed though.

Trim is more likely though... it should be 0 (AFAIK not 100% sure on the 3GX) for everything.
