Had a question we have been going out on Thursday evenings for some heli fun and last nite my trex 550 wanted to drift to the left, last time i had it out it was perfect. It was warm here yesterday mid 90's and i had heli in backseat of my truck all day , the heli or truck was not in direct sunlight but it was still pretty toasty inside. I had used 1 layer of 3m 4010 tape to mount miniv and was wondering if it was warm enough to affect it, it seemed kinda mushy like you could move the miniv easier than normal.
I checked the log and after 4 flights I only had like 3 instances of high vib level all other good health messages,it seemed to me by the 4th flight it was pretty much gone but it had cooled down some by then. What you think does that sound plausible that could cause my drift? I may just pull it and use the tape that came with miniv, I also have some 3m 4011 grey tape i could use. Jack

Maybe it was the tape, more likely not. Worth checking your transmitter calibration to Vbar to see if it drifted or was changed by accidentally bumping a trim switch.. Check every flight mode. I now disable the trim's on my radio after calibrating to Vbar because I have bumped them in the past...

Checked transmitter calibration, all was fine, checked trims in all flight modes all good. I tried some different tape today, last 2 flights in log had 1 layer 3m 4011,3rd to last what the stock tape with miniv and it was only one i had high vib warnings with, the one before that was 3m 4010 tape. Anyways still drifting to the left and maybe I am crazy but it didn't seem to do it first couple of flights today when it was cooler. Posting log curious if anything in there that would cause the drift.
If not what to check next?

No ideas? Kind of not sure what to look at the first two times out it was perfect,I let a friend fly my 550 and he ordered a Vbar for his 600EFL the next day lol. I know all was level swash wise etc. I have heard pros and cons on doing a trim flight i have not done one, like i said didn't need anything at first. Should i do one?

Another issue with some early minv's were that the circuit board gets loose in the case allowing it to vibrate. Fix was sticky tape or a little silicone glue.
