Thinking about getting this radio locally with a Heli that's rtf. I wanted the dx6i as I'm a begginer with a Trex 100x and now a 120sr. Local hobby shop said the radio is good but primitive and harder for a beginner to use with programming. Just wanted to get some opinions on if I should or grab a more basic easy to learn. In off road I went from the spektrum dx3s to the m11x and sold the m11x because some of the functions was just too much to understand so I went with the dx3r because it was more novice friendly. I'm wondering if I'll have the same issue?
Thanks, Chad |

Chad, the RDS8000 is a bit more "primitive" I guess, being an older radio. I wouldn't say it's terribly hard to program, and the manual is pretty good, but it just isn't as flexible as the newer radios. I still have mine, but it's been relegated to sim duty and I use the SD-10G for everything else.

Thank you Chris for the reply.
I figured no replies meant it was older and not used on a regular. I had a offer on a like new truggy I have for sale. It was that radio and a v2 450se. The combo looked really great but after asking around most say wait on a better deal or continue to sell my Rc stuff to find a better 450 and radio. Guess I'll hold off for now. Thanks for replying and not making me feel invisible lol jk |
