No rudder input on monitor screen - ZYX-S

Hello Guys,

I've bought a Tarot ZYX-S and I'm trying to install it onto my HK-450. I got a SPM9645(AR8000) satellite with a DX6i. I've been able to do the binding so far, but as soon as I enter in(either the John's software or the Tarot Official software), when I got to the monitoring point, the rudder does not give me any input. Everything else seems to be working fine(Aileron,Collective,Elevator). I've been looking on every forum for an answer without success. Also, I've tried all the different radio setting without success DSM2-1,2,3,4 - DSMJ also DSMX-1 and 2.
Finally I've checked with all the servo plug in and no response from the tail servo. I've check if it was burned with my previous setup, but it's not.

Anyone have an Idea, what could be my problem?

Yes already tried that, but the rudder is still missing.
Actually I've made some more testing and I found that with a DX8 everything goes flawlessly while setting up with the Satellite only.
With a DX6i and the Satellite from the AR8000, it's only working on a full RX setup.
Might be a compatibility problem, with the Satellite I'm using, unfortunately I don't have access to another.
I will work my way with a Full RX setup, but so far it has been a rough ride......

do you have rudder if you connect the servo to the reviever?
make sure you change the setting in the fbl unit to sat or full receiver
What colour light is on the gyro after it boots up?

Yes, the only thing I don't have on the monitor screen while on full receiver mode, is the throttle.
However, I've test it with the motor hookup and it's working so.......
The light is steady red on the Tarot.
I'm pretty I'm having the answser to my question though. The satellite of the AR8000, does not work with a DX6i and a ZYX-S together, if at some point I have another satellite I'll try it, but now I don't so....I'll install it with full receiver mode.

You have the same issue as me. I can not get the throttle to work with the sat from the ar8000. I tried every mode in the zyx program for the reciever and could not get it to work.
The new firmware for the zyx did not help.

I also put the full reciever back in.

I'm having the same problem when binding the remote receiver with my R921X. I'm starting to think the ZYX-S will only allow a remote receiver bound with a 6 channel Rx.

I have no problem binding straight to an AR8000 satellite, all controls are there just as they should be.

Okay, if I bind the remote antenna with a 6215. Now I can see the rudder inputs. However, I still can not change from HH to rate. I have tried gyro sense and gear end points.

What TX are you using, because that problem is tie with DX6i only.

That's right. DX6i's seem to have a lot of trouble working with the ZYX-S in sat-mode. I've seen a few people getting them to work using an Orange Rx sat, but they're all unsure about how they got them to work in the end, after hours of fiddling with settings and wires

Remember there's the DX6i DSM2 and the DX6i DSMX. I suspect this may be some of the issues (some spektrum sats require DSMX by specs. Other sats may too (whether spec'ed or not.)

Unexperienced but in my mind explains how continued attempts with DSM2 can eventually get a (complete) bind....and sometimes hold.
