Default New X50 setups

Hi Guys...

Having just purchased a new Flybar X50 SE, I'm kinda wondering what radio gear to use, (servos, Gyro etc) I've already decided on using an OS 50 for power but not sure which direction for servos, and gyro. Any help or suggestions on your setups greatly received.

That pretty much sums it up.

What's your budget?

Keep your eyes peeled for Align ds620's. They worked great on my flybarred x50 and are doing just fine on my flybarless x50.

Thanks for the replies,
I'll probably go for the Quark gyro, I currently have 401s on my other helis, maybe time for something a bit more up to date on the new one?

My budget isnt unlimited, but Id rather spend a little more and get quality than have to replace/upgrade in the future.. Are those align servos good? they have a bit of a poor reputation here for servos, it maybe unjustified? but if you guys arent having issues then possibly they're the way forward too.

I ran those Align servos for two seasons in two different nitro birds. They were excellent servos. The DS-610 is a popular servo.

Thanks Bob, the store I got the kit from has combo price deals, for 3x Ds610s and a quark with a Ds650.

Make sure to get an extra one for the throttle.

You can't go wrong with those servos, in my experience. Most things you'll read about them is that they are reliable, and plenty of guys have run them at high voltage without problems despite them not actually being a HV servo.

I always ran my at a regulated 6V and never had a problem. Somewhere around 300 flights I got out of them before selling, and the best that I know they are still going strong in a JR Ergo 60.

Thanks for your help, think those are the ones I'm going for, 4xDS610 and a DS650 for the tail. I'll post a picture when I'm done.

I could never figure out the point of running a full sized servo on the throttle when any mini or micro will do just fine.

I thinking its more of a "this works. why change it" type of thing. Kind of like tail servos being only 4.8v for so long.
