Been going back and forth about ordering one and finally went for it. I fly with a Synergy rep at my field and I have been drooling over his bird for the past 4 weeks. Today I decided enough was enough and ordered one up.
Already had a set of torq cyclics and tail as well as an AR7200bx that I was planning to stick on a second 7HV kit but that is now on hold. Next up is engine and pipe as I have no clue what to get for it. Going to talk to my buddy tomorrow but anyone have any suggestions? Also a throttle servo is new to me, any recommendations? Thanks in advance, can't wait to get this bird built!

You're going to love it, just got mine last month.
I use a Futaba 9650 for throttle - any mini you like will work.

OS-55 or YS-56 with Funtech B320 pipe. No matter which one you choose, the YS-60R will become available shortly thereafter.

I use the YS56SR with the Funtech B320 and like it. I can't comment on the OS or any other pipe.

Congrats on the heli and welcome to Synergy! You are going to love it. It's fun even while building. I agree on the B320 pipe. I run the O.S. 55 non-regulated version and have no issues. I am sure either motor you choose will be fine.

I'm not finding that pipe in stock anywhere, must be a popular pipe. Hopefully someone will be getting more in or I may need to opt for another pipe.

The Outrage HR-56 might be worth looking at. Can't beat the price and it also has a 50% off crash guarantee.

OS55 with the Hatori pipe. Never could get the funtech to peak out well enough compared to the hatori.

IF its your first nitro go with the os 55 and if you have the cash def go with the refulated version it has more power it is easy to tune and it makes insane power very rich
Unless people at your field run ys go with the os and save some headache talking from experience and i am very good with IC engines the best pipe is the hatori sab55/56 but the b320 is the easiest to tune and is a proven combo hence they are all sold out, you can find them used or new in the classifieds This bird will take your flying to a whole other level. the quality is second to none It is quickly becoming my favorite bird except for push pull system and no dedicated gyro mount You will want to run 620mm blades it gives the machine way more lift

After talking with my Synergy rep, he helped me decide on the OS55 with the PB pipe. I was looking at the regulated version but didn't want to drop that much extra. Local shop had a great deal on the pipe and got the pipe for the same price as a 320. Motor will be in Thursday and kit should arrive Wednesday. I have 606s I ordered for it but will check out the 620s for sure.
Very excited to get it in the air.

One thing is the N5c needs a mini-servo for throttle (JR ds3711 or ds3717 are options for hv) other than that looks like a great setup. |
