As soon as I get word on either, I'll let you all know.

Both issues need base approval and I'm not sure if there needs to be an active military member on site over night or if a civilian club member will suffice.

I added some more info to post number 1 so be sure to take a look.

I was really looking foward to the Night fly and have two birds set up just for the night. Last year we had 2 night rigs and no problems hope we can do it again.

How about civilian military ID's and decals? If Darren isn't on deployment, maybe we could rope him into babysitting us?

Darren is on the boat so he's out of pocket, out of town, out of the country. We're checking with the PMO and as soon as we hear back, I'll let you guys know.

I've been told that the RV camping and night flying "...should not be a problem.". Sounds like the base just needs to run the request through the "food chain" and we should be good to go.

For now, plan on everything being a "go" and we'll adjust if necessary.

Rain or shine, night fly or not, RV or closed at dusk i will be there Saturday & Sunday can't wait. . . . Silent Electric field has a night fly every 1st Saturday of the month so we could always head on over there if we can't fly Miramar at night.

I'm guessing since it's the same main guy as last time, the night flying shouldn't be a problem. Don't know who's dealing with the RV part, but again, I was told this afternoon that it shouldn't be an issue.

Almost no work by me on this one - I've been too busy with the job(s). Gotta give the credit to the guys in the club who are heading this one up: Mark Lukens, Sandy Sanderson and Brad "Kiteslayer" Kuller.

Kiteslayer huh?

I will have to hear that story sometime.

I'll try to remember those names to thank them in person.

Yeah, it's a good story...

I saw Brad in the line for beer before the Jeff Dunham show at the fair and called out "Kiteslayer!!" He turned and said, "This is the last place I ever expected to hear that."

Any interest in shirts for this one? I can get them made in time, but I want to know if it's worth the investment.. They'd probably run $12 each which is about what it'll cost me to get them printed and shipped out. Don't care about making a profit, just breaking even.

Grey with the MCRF logo on the left front breast and a big one on the back with the event text around it...

I'm thinking 4 dozen broken down like this:

6 - 3X
6 - 2X
24 - XL
12 - L

Count me in on a shirt. Possibly two. I wore out the ones from previous years so it would probably do me good to 'invest' in more than one this time!
