Hi there,
I am trying to convert my Flybarred Protos 500 to FBL and I am really confused on what is going on?! According to the Vbar conversion instructions, I do have everything other than the Antirotation Bracket MSH 50179. ( I have the long spindle,MSH51119, the long stand ball MSH51118 and the Sp Long ball MSH51120) I tried to order it, but it is pretty much everywhere on back order. Searching the internet for someone who might has it in stock, I cam across the Flybarless Washout Arms, MSH51336?! Can I use those instead of the Antirotation Bracket??? thanks, G p.s. I also have the Low FBL Hub kit. MSH51335. But since you can only use it with the carbon stretch kit only, it might be useless for me at this point, or can I use part from that kit to build a FBL head??? |

Perhaps I shouldn't be responding because I cannot answer your question completely' but I did my conversion with this kit
http://helidirect.com/msh51115-msh-f...os-p-22883.hdx And I followed the instructions from the mini protos here http://www.msheli.com/Manual/MSH_MIN...OS_rel_1e0.pdf On HD's website the picture of the FBL upgrade kit shows the old style of the Anti-rotation bracket. The new style is exactly the same as what you already have on the flybarred version. What I cannot answer for you is the washout arms. If I recollect correctly, they were included in the kit, but since HD doesn't show the current version and they describe the contents of the old kit I cannot confirm my memory. Hope this helps |
