I would like a comparison too between 300x and x2, as I am looking at both.

I have an X2 (started as a 255) and it took a lot of effort to get it to the point where I was happy with it. This included MKS servo's all round, FBL Beast-X, YGE ESC. Small heli's have to be 'just so', something slightly off, and, given the head speed it's likely to obliterate on take off (or more likely tip over rather than take off).
Sometimes you just want something that fly's with less effort - like my MCPx or back in the day my Kyosho Concept which offered a day of fuel, fly, repeat with a minimum fuss. As cheapish ready builds go, is the 300x the spiritual successor? Does it offer fun time with minimum downtime? How does it compare to a X2 (which when its good is very good) Am I going to have to buy one to find out? Last edited by MinskUK; 07-05-2012 at 01:43 PM.. Reason: typo's |

I saw and got to hold and watch fly a x2 today. They are so tiny! Only thing that sucks is the 600 dollar price tag... If the 300x isnt much bigger I think ill pull the trigger on one... The 130x is fun but it has such a wide range of attitude. You spool it up and its the best little heli with no vibs or shakes and good punch out and tail holds great then you goto the next battery and its blowing the tail out, shakes in the tail the whole flight, rolls left from the shaking, motor bogs... and sometimes its in between those two. I know what your saying its the battery... i thought so to until i kept track of it and does both personality's with the same battery, and letting it initialize a certain way doesnt seem to make a difference. after feeling a little tricked into buying the 130x tho i think i will wait till i can see the 300x is doing good in peoples hands.

The X2 and the 300X are close to the same size. I know the X2 swings a bigger blade, but I don't know if it's longer.
I really like my X2, it has incredible performance. From the vids, the 300x looks plenty capable too. The 300X is kinda bare bones, while the X2 is a mostly hopped up bird. I'm not saying that as a knock against the 300X, it's something to account for in the price difference. I was going to get the 300x myself, but fell into a good deal on the X2. Either bird will out fly my ability. |
