Default Tail shaft gear?

How is the gear attached to the tail shaft?

Which gear? C or D? C gear is press fit if it is one that I thought you were talking about.

Not the gear that's on the torque tube, the actual gear on the tail shaft near the slider. I'm going to be replacing the flange bearings and was wondering how it comes off the shaft and how I would install it in again?

The tail shaft has a D-shaped cross-section and the gear is keyed accordingly. It's just a friction fit, so the tail shaft easily slides through it.

On my 130X, that gear is quite a tight fit on the tailshaft... It's not an easy slide, but it's not an extremely tight slide on either. To me, it's just right....
