If you need a lot, look at china. Most of the domestic sheet has a textured back on it for bonding.

The patterned sheet from mcmaster is very nice, but pricey if you need lots of it.

I need a source for true .5mm and 1mm sheet smooth on both sides, hard to find!

I use a lot of Dragon Plate CF, the layup with really nice but it does not have gloss on both sides. On a lot of applications that's only okay but if I need gloss in MM sizes then I use www.rcfoam.com

They usually ship in 1-2 days, and the quality is pretty good, but most importantly they have double sided gloss sheets.

I have also used CF from McMaster-Carr when 1/16 or 1/8 thickness will work.

If you dont need Birch core from Dragonplate, Protech composites has just as good, if not better 1 sided sheets, for 30% less cost on average.....

12x12 1mm sheet,

Dragonplate $60.18, $72.13 shipped (cheapest option) http://www.dragonplate.com/ecart/product.asp?pID=3735

Protech $43, $48.64 shipped (cheapest option) http://www.protechcomposites.com/hig...12-x-12-1-0mm/

I cant tell much of a difference with the sheets side by side.

Protech will also do custom 2 sided sheets, and their prices arent too bad on the custom layups!

They do offer 1mm thick 2 sided sheets as well

The carbon sheets from Rcfoam are Great Planes brand, A bit cheaper on Ebay or Tower hobbies.

The McMaster carbon is nice, I use a lot of the 1/32" thick stuff. The 3" wide bars have tighter thickness tolerances than the 12x12 sheets from what I have found. Its a 3K plain weave over a unidirectional core.

Thanks for the links.

I'm going to give Full Force RC a try this week, the sizing is actually just what I need. The pricing seems pretty good to.
