govenor setup

I have a T-rex 600n With the DX8 and I want to know how to set up the govenor on a swith on the radio to be able to turn it on and off.I have ( 2 ) DSMX remote recievers. I think I read where you can use all 8 channels.

You use the signal from the Output 2 slot on the HC. Power is not provided on this slot but most govs only need the signal line. If you do need power you can get it via a y-connector from one of the other servo slots.

my problem is setting up the switch's in the transmiter. Right now when I push the trainer button for captin resue the govenor light go's red ( off ) when I let go it's green ( on ). It's the align govenor.My problem is with the transmiter set up.Be great If someone could tell me how they do it. THANKS

Simply put you can't do it. I tried but that is one channel and its either going to be used for the governor or captain rescue.

When using DSMX sats you have 8 channels available from the HC. In the RC page set channel 8 for Output 2 and should should be able to control the gov with channel 8 in the TX.

Yeah, after playing with the transmitter I found out how to get it to work. I can now control the governor.

I'm not using DX 8 but 9503 and set mine up to toggle off and on using the gear switch on the output 2 on the HC, didnt have any issues. Just make sure you have proper channel selected on the RC tad for channel assignmnet, can be confusing.. I just finished programming my 4th HC on a gasser... Learn something new and easier everytime..

well my issue is .. I am already using all 8 channels, my extra channel goes from rigid to horizon mode and that is setup, What I do want is the extra option to be able to go from horizon to rescue or from rigid to rescue via the trainer switch. Right now I can only have either horizon or rescue button, I chose to have horizon.

Here is my setup, I have 4 servo's on cyclic, tail servo, GV1 Gov, 1 lead throttle and 1 signal lead to toggle off and on gov, on board generator 1 lead. and A123 battery lead. That is 9 total, I used 1 Y harness to connect battery & generator as one. I have Rigid, horizon and C-rescue setup on a 3 way switch, aux 2 on 9503 and is working fine, surely there is a way to setup what you need. Wished I could help out more.
