Man..watching that vid I SWEAR im seeing a flybar in some of the frames. Is this your vid or one you found? It sure looks like a msr with the red/white canopy...and Ive seen plenty of vids of old msr's doing flips.

ahh..gotcha. Just misread the post Ive "flooped" my old msr a couple times..usually ended in a floop flop in the grass though..

I managed to loop the mSRx but you need a programmable radio( dx6i or better). How I did it was about 50 ft of altitude, no wind, start out forward with 60% throttle and about 30 % forward input. Then pull 100% back on elevator and 100% throttle. As soon as the heli is upside down reduce throttle to about 20% while still back on the stick. At this point she will be picking up speed pretty fast. As soon as the nose is straight down ease the throttle back to about 80% it should come around. When it levels out it will be a little unstable until you get some forward motion. It took a lot of practice and a lot of crashes to get it right, so be patient. I tried to record it but being that the heli has to be so high and is so small it is hard to make it out. I tried to do a front flip but still haven't got that one figured out yet. I can get it about 180 deg but can't get it to follow through with it. Also make sure your tail motor is performing like new. Very important to not have a blow out when you apply full throttle.

Ive executed front and back flips with the stock TX as well as my DX7S. I have to be at least 70 feet off the ground or more and give it a full throttle as well as pulling back (or forward) on the stick. Once upsidown it plummets to the ground very quickly until it recovers

Once you go brushless, it's a lot easier. Yesterday, when flying mine, I actually went upside down in reverse when sliding up backwards at high speed. Surprised the h___ out of me actually.

You do NOT need a programmable radio OR a BL build to loop it. I have looped it forwards, backwards and aileron rolled to both sides with the stock motor and the MLP4DSM in both high and low rate modes.
