I don't think Mikado has the heli ready to go, all the ordered parts and equipment on hand, with the boxes standing-by, and then says, "Hey, let's delay this just for grins, so we can piss-off a bunch of potential customers."

Other than the tail section and bits mentioned earlier what, if any other parts does it share with the Xxtreme?

Well, as you said, the all the tail parts (except the fin is shorter), are directly off the 800.

Everything about the tube drive and tail boom is the same, except the length is just shorter.

Everything (including the swash plate), from the swash plate down to the third main shaft bearing block is from the 800, including the motor mounting scheme and CB. Same 14mm main shaft, just shorter (and thinner walled), and all the main shaft bearing blocks and servo mounting scheme is the same.

The tail drive system (hybrid belt to torque tube design), is from the 800.

The head is the same design, just smaller with different dampening, and the lower frames are cut differently and smaller. And the canopy is smaller.

To a large degree, it's the 800 XXtreme disguised as a 700.

Are there any pics of the 700 and 800 side by side with cano's off that I can view anywhere. I have seen them side by side with cano's on but wold like to see them both together without if possible?

Does anyone have up-close pics of the kosmik installed in the L700? I think I remember seeing some distance shots, but nothing close by.

After IRCHA I will tell all you want to know. D-SLR pics galore, canopy on and off. I WILL find out real weight. It is main reason I'm going and that sounds funny, but it's true. I've been waiting for this machine for a long time.

No 700 at IRCHA, they crashed it right before. He also told us its gone back into developement so may not be avaible for quite a while.
