Default You only need one blade

I know the title is catchy but it is true. I subscribe to the owner of this video youtube channel.

I knew it was Nightflyyer as soon as I read the title. He is on these forums constantly and can teach you just about anything you could ever want to know about the physics of flight.

Well, if F-15 can fly with one wing so heli can do the same with one blade. Tho heli have that advantage that blade is spinning and still creating "wing". Two blades are for balance purpose so it's perfectly viable to remove one blade and put there a counterweight.

And here is a proof of F-15's one wing flight.

Cool, but it looks pretty silly if you ask me, though that could be the hammer

Due to the up/down movement in the tail, I can see there is some imbalance in the heli though... Also, 'blade tracking', comparing the blade to the hammer, will be huge!

With one blade, making sure it always has the same pitch as itself is going to be a real challenge
