Default Real Flight simulator

What would be the best helicopter to use in Real Flight 6 for practice and simulate the Pantera 50 with a .53 nitro engine?
Thanks

I only have RF 3.5, but I find the Dominion 3D to be the closest stock model to my Pantera 50. Your mileage may vary

Search the forums. IIRC Dude uploaded a Pantera model for RF. I'll see if I can find my copy.

I could be wrong here, but If I remember that topic correctly, but the Real Flight "Pantera" was a "skin" to be used on a different Real Flight model so that it would look like a Pantera. As I said... I could be wrong

Yes I did find a Pantera skin that goes on a Trex, but this is not what I am looking for, I tried every model in Real Flight and each one fly differently, so I was looking for one that is close to the Pantera so I can practice and have no major adjustment to do when I get my Pantera. So unless somebody else comes out with a suggestion I will try the Dominion 3D as suggested by forvols.

I also have Phoenix 6, any suggestion for that simulator?
Thanks

I've been thinking about your post and have an opinion/answer for you.

Fly the larger models in the simulator and don't worry about them flying exactly like the Pantera. The primary objective on the sim is to learn orientations, stick movements, and recovery. I have Realflight 5.5 and have not experienced any problems transitioning from the sim to the model.

Just my opinion....

No wonder there aren't many people creating new aircraft.
3dsmax is way too expensive for the average joe, just to create a new plane or heli for a hobby.
I have solidworks, rhino3d and autocad2004 but knifedge doesn't support ANY of those or I would be all over this. It must be 3dsmax.
I noticed on phoenix's website that you can request new models, and if you help supply pics it will speed up the process. Seems like great customer support!
Realflight? pffff... They offer free updates, but, from their site: Please note: These free updates are compatible only with RealFlight 6 so if you're still flying an earlier version, here's one more good reason to upgrade!

I have g3.5 which is still awesome for me. Why do I need to purchase another version to get customer support?
It's not a good reason to upgrade, it's a good reason to switch to the competitor.

It would be VERY cool to have our exact model, with close to its exact physics. That way you can play around with settings and see whether or not you like the changes.

I agree it would be cool to have the P6 on the RF sim. Unfortunately, they don't listen to me if I request it but if you, e.g. the customer requests it, you are more apt to get a response. Meawhile, how about sending photos to Phoenix? Maybe they add it and then there's a sim with a P6 available. I will support your effort in whatever way I can but as with RF, I suspect a request coming from customers is more apt to get action.
