Question Trivia Q of the day: What is "SAB Canopy Mousse"?

HeliDirect's marketing e-mail is suggesting I buy something called "SAB Canopy Mousse," but all I can find is a picture of it, and it looks like the sticky foam I use make the front door air-tight. Can someone please enlighten me? Thank you.

Thats what it is! Goes on inside edge of canopy to kepp vibes down and from scratching the tail boom.

Looks like the Italian words for 'foam' and 'mousse' are similar? "Schiuma" seems to be it, but I suck at Italian.

Yes, schiuma is foam. Foam shaver is foam for beard.
But mousse is a french word.
This is an example for a wonderful mousse:


I hope you can understand if i say that mousse mean "with air inside", chocolat mousse, or foam have air inside!

I bought a huge roll of very thin weather stripping for doors at the local hardware store.. so much cheaper and it sticks better than the SAB stuff.

That just shows that you haven't tried the sab stuff. It's really delicious. Quite addicting too. Used to smoke a pack a day. Now I eat a roll of mousse a day.

Is the mousse made of rubber or foam material? And how thick is it and how much does it compress?

I just happen to have a piece of it and my calipers sitting right here.

It's foam. It's 2mm thick. 5mm wide. Since it's foam it compresses quite a lot if press it between my thumb and forefinger.
