Guys that ordered the classic canopy have all had their kits ship. Red/yellow likely late next week.

So what happens when you get a couple of electrical and mechanical engineers together and we complain about wiring?
Introducing the Max V2 Power Bus Upgrade! The idea is to eliminate all wires from the from the front to the rear of the model. Giving it a super clean look. Improving reliability (no wire chafing). And radically improving time to repair in the case that frame sides need to be replaced in a crash. No ETA on availability yet, but target is Sept/Oct. |

Hellllllll yes!
One question. In the event of a crash and the bus panel is broken, what are the chances that you could have a short in an ESC/power wire, causing mush more damage electrically? Outside of that, I love the idea!

I like it, what's the plan for the exposed contact points? Paint? Plastidip?
I toyed with the idea of making those for every heli a couple years ago. I like your execution.

A great benefit is it provides pass through power into 3 plugs in the Brain FBL inputs (no need for pesky y inputs when there aren't enough free slots). . Also now only 3 servos are powered from the brain directly. |

Holy crap. Proper high current soldered connections from the BEC, a power bus for the servos that's external to the FBL, neater wiring, and multiple powered connections to the FBL unit? Am I understanding this properly?
If you seriously can deliver all that then I love it!!!

Damn! I can't wait to see what else you guys come up with. Lot of neat ideas to simplify the bird.

Add a couple caps and power bus switch for use with a separate RX pack and you got yourself a winner!

You can add a switch or bulk caps at the FBL if you want. But putting it on the board is counter to he fundamental value of improving reliability. |

On the front end, we are looking at the PWR-A, PWR-B, RPM, ESC and the two large contact solder points. The RPM and ESC are obvious, but I am looking for some clarification of the other 3. In the pic it appears as though the Gryphon (big fan btw, run them on everything) has its output soldered to the contact points. I am a little confused because the BEC looks like a Quasar which has two power output wires. In the pic those two appear to be combined and then soldered down. Then, I do not see how that power exits at the rear of the board. Can you explain, please? Also, if they are indeed combined, why would we do that? It seems that the board is also set up to simply plug those two power outputs from the Quasar into the PWR-A and-B respectively and then jumper from those same spots at the back into the brain. Does this have something to do with the "pass through" power you mentioned? I guess I could just use some elaboration on where the power goes and how it gets there. Lastly, if you were to add in an OptiGuard to the system shown above, would you still simply just directly wire it into the brain? Or can it be introduced to the board? Also, is there an optimal place to mount the OptiGurad? Overall, I love this development. This is just another major reason this heli is most likely going to be joining my family soon. Thanks for the effort and response as always, Alex. Keep it up!

Not sure if you are still designing but any chance for a telemetry spot?

Some sort of insulator that can easily apply to those exposed contact points would be what I'd do. Not sure if it matters in the air, but during bench testing and touching those points, inadvertently or not, I wouldn't want to get any current going thru me even if I wore a grounding strap.

That's counter productive How about a few pads for a couple SMD caps

Is there room to add a few more traces for ESC telemetry?
