I see a lot of pics of the vibe with one side of the servo wheels cut off. Is this necessary to prevent binding? I am using the 120 setup.
Thanks

You asked about my header thank. I love the way its mounted, it stays well away from the mess near the engine and it always stays full and no bubbles... The fuel tubes are a bit longer and easier to inspect after each flight... About the servo wheels, I have 120 setup on both my Vibe 50s, and it does not bind at all. By the way, the mixture servos are removed on both Vibes. I wanted to keep the weight down and not deal with it any more... Thanks, G

Im a Trex owner and had never seen a Vibe 50 or any of the Vibes upclose and in person until the other weekend, I must say these are awesome machines. The quality of parts compared to Align is outstanding. Im actually moving towards replacing my Trex with a Vibe....would this be a wise move?..lol

Nice Canopy kaotickc. I just put the decals on mine - maybe I will post a pic since everyone else has there fancy ones! I actually really like the look of the stock stickers
They were a major pain to put on, though. |

Did you use water with a little soap on the stickers? That made positioning a re-positioning a snap, and they stick great! No bubbles or wrinkles!!!

Yeah, I used the soapy water. Still have a few wrinkles. I probably could have spent more time on it, but I am sure the canopy will get smashed sooner rather than later!
This is my first Nitro and I have never done a real live autorotation... I have practiced them on the SIM, so hopefully that will help! |

Yeah, flat decal, compound curved canopy, means some wrinkles. But with mine, once the soapy water dried, I pressed them down and they are almost invisible.

It did take me like an hour to do it while watching heros with the wife. The only ones that gave me any trouble were the bottom ones and I think I may have stretched them a bit. They each do have a single small wrinkle on one edge. I'm still jealous of all the airbrushers out there, but the price is right for this one!
I did notice that canopies primed for painting (no gelcoat) are only $24... I might have to take a stab at painting with some help from a few local talents.

JOCO... that canopy is awesome. I just can't stomach $200+ for a canopy though. I need to find a local scottish hemit that likes to do drawerings, er, painting
