Default How much louder are the 90 size engines

I'm thinking about a synergy 7 but only if it is just as quiet as my YS60SR with the hatori pipe. Is that possible?

I fly in the AM before work there are some houses neer by. I have not had any problems with my YS60 set up and I want to keep it that way😃

More power=more noise (with same type of muffler).

But the 90 size engines produces this power at a slightly slower RPM then the 50-60 engines. So the pitch of the sound is lower - which can be perceive as 'less' noise by some ears.

One option (if the tolerance for just a bit more noise is not an option) is to go with an even lower tone muffler (not that the Hatori is not good) - but say an F3C Funtech for example.

Yes the the 3D/power fanatics will say that some of the newer engines like the 91SRX will not show it full potential with an F3C muffler - probable but you should not loose that much power and if you are desperate to fly an N7

I do fly an N7 - and would not hesitate !

Thanks for the info. Do you think with the F3C muffle it will be close to my YS60 setup?
