both motors still running good. the blue motor is on its third lipo, and the lingo 8 is on its second. good lipos. 200+ flights. i think both motors are made by scorpion. the blue motor is getting a bit of a squeel. so it will be replaced soon. i will get the scorpion HK2216-12. if wish becomes reality?

actually the mars frame is only three years old. i repalced it earlier on after a few too many mishaps. scrapped the airframe, and transfered the equips. kept the origional red head block from the first airframe.

hey praetorious, how's the netherlands? get settled in yet? hope you brought warm clothes?

Yes it does have GOOD POWER! I wasn't sure if it would, my next d 4400 kv was too much for me so I put this in thinking it was about a 3600, put a 12 t on it and WOW! It's got power! Need to change gearing to slow it down, wish i knew the KV so I could gear it right. For now I brought the throttle curve down to 0,20,40,60,80. just to tame it down a bit. It was brand new and smooth as silk. It has alot of fine, tight windings and a firm magnet. I was looking at a couple of motors, I think it was a Lingo 6? or 7?
Ying is flying well, had to bring Yang down before my thumbs were twitching! Not a good thing , temp dropped and i as working all day,or it could have been the coffee! LOL!

Good to hear that you're getting to fly your birds crickr1. Maybe I have to read the thread, but where did you get the silver motor from? As long as you don't have an insanely high head rpm you should be fine, if by slow it down you mean response, add some weight to your flybar or use some expo.

@apollo7. It's great here, apart from the cold, well, cutting wind really. I do think I will need to visit a store and purchase some gloves and thermal pants. I've settled in I think, just been real busy at the TU working my head off. Unfortunately I have not flown very much, I've logged maybe 10 flights tops since August . The wind here is very strong, and then it's often a bit too cold for someone coming from the Caribbean. Late at night there is no wind, but I doubt my neighbours will appreciate the noise .
