Yes Timo is really a top pilot
He is my favorite.
He does not fly these American Style of this wild 3D
All Perfect and looks clean.

I read he has been flying for over 12 years.

Very skilled. Check out his other vids, very enjoyable.

finally got my 3DNT presentable. new canopy; motor is broken in.

i'm still not happy with the t-curves. gonna pop on the spare TJpro i have on the shelf and try that out next weekend. but, if zero nitro is going to be this sluggish i may have to pop for a modern nitro 90.

still, tons of fun.

it's right around 1800. according to the manual 1500-1700 is where this motor should be set for 3D. so, i've been trying to tune/tweak the engine in this performance window.

rereading the manual i missed the part about the extra swash to throttle mixing required. but, i may forego that whole issue as i'll probably put on the gov this week.

i realize these instructions are over 7 years old. if anyone has better/more current suggestions for setting/finding optimal 3D performance out of this stock engine (lotterle carb) i'd be appreciative. i have no local experience to tap for zero nitro tuning.

thanks.

Default 3DNT FBL

Just got the 3DNT buttoned back up Vbar FBL.

Not a simple bolt on upgrade...as i foolishly thought it would be. but, it came out nice. too bad 1-2 inches of rain is predicted for tomorrow, with sunday not looking much better.

i'm not sure if there's an easy way to link to pictures in my album...might just be easier to link to link to the album itself...hope this works:

FINALLY! yesterday early afternoon, finally had a successful vbar maiden/hover trim flight. got that on video just in case that was the only flight it ever had (i'm the consummate optimist, i know). keychain helmet cam is working out quite well, except for some shaking when someone asks me a question

however, this is the 3rd partial flight of the day after having upped the agility settings slightly. it's still bogging quite badly--i'm spoiled with my 12s 600 setup. i really have to baby the collective on this one. but, it will be tons of fun i think.

pardon the banter in the video. i land about 1/2 way through to lean out the mixture a couple of clicks when i see my rx pack is done.

HD vid is slightly larger if you click on the vid.

The Firework is something Robert Sixt does since I can remember. I don't know how he does it, but his show is really impressive. I saw it at the time when he was flying his MPs like this Video -> http://www.rcmovie.de/video/2ad67301...g-St-Johann-08
